Had an old 2ooo vajo and it ran 24/7 for years. Tried to burn The Cave and all hell broke lose. Crash after crash and was finally to the point the machine refused to recover. I swear that system32\hal.dll. was put on it buy the mighty corparates! Any how I bought a new sony RB50 pc and alls well. It has a pioneer dvd burner on it. Nero recognizes my stand alone dvd burner and in the destination drop down box it give me the choice of my stand alone, Image Burn, or to hard disk. Anyone know how to get nero to recognize it and put it on the detination list? Thanks
I downloaded and ran Nero Ping for my system and it shows the pioneer 109 on the results. I have uninstalled nero, reinstalled it and unplugged all external devices. Now the detination drop down box only says< Image Burn and To Hard Disc?
Which part of the Nero package are you trying to do the burn with-Burning Rom, Nero Vision 4 Or Nero Recode? Reinstall your burner also not just Nero.
I have the Nero 6.6 suite pack with express and start smart. It came with the purchase of my sony 810 internal dvd drive that I bought for my last Vajo that took a dump. That dvd drive is still on my dead comp, is it possible that the nero bundle that came with it will only recognize that drive, do you think I need to move that drive to my new comp? You say to uninstall the drive on my new Vajo but its the only one on it and if I do uninstall it, where do I reinstall it from. No software came with the new comp? I really appreciate all your input and know it will all work out.
Hey Loco, Alls well and you where right. I pull the dvd from my dead comp and moved it to the new one. As soon as I did, the Nero bundle that came with it recognized its presents. Thank for the help, mas gras. Now do you know of a good forum to remove that ****in root kit from my dead pc. I want to resurect it and use to fight the might forces of evil whom we all know there names and proud owners of >system32|hal.dll.< malfunction. PS, do not burn The Cave!!!
Try this site: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/RootkitRevealer.html I think this is the dude that brought all that Sony BS to light. Edit: Too late on the Cave, does it contain a rootkit?
