I got Banned from Live

So today i was enjoy a nice and peaceful day because i only had one class at school today, and i decided to play Mass Affect because i could never get it to work before, and it worked which was exciting, but after playing it for about an hour i got disconnected from live, so i ran the test and it said that live failed. I then checked the codes because nothing came up in the description box and the codes were W:0000 - 000D X: 0000 - F021 Y: 00A8 - 6820 Z: 8015 -190D. So if i am understanding this right, then i am banned right. I hope not but i guess this was gonna happen either way. So if anybody can tell me if this is true or not it would be great. Thanks

 

were you playing a backup?

sounds like you got banned yes.

i think il stick to only playing ym originals online in future, that seems the 'safest' way to use live whilst having a flashed drive.

Could you give us more information regarding on the torrent... burner you have... did u check if your game is stealth?...

 

Yes i was playing back ups and i cant help with any info on what burner because i dont burn the games personally, but i do have to believe that the game wasnt stealth patched. All of my other games that i have played on live were back ups that were downloaded and this never happened, and i know they were. I was playing mass affect when i got banned, which sucks because they game sucks a$$. I think that the torrent was from black-kats but im not 100% sure. But i do not believe that it was stealth patched, so i guess i got what i deserved, ohh well now i will just get a new one and do the same thing.

 

mass effect comes stealth patched already. maybe your firmware was outdated

 

hey just to add not banned played backups all the time. almost everyday. about 6 bad backups. that failed in kreon checker. So today I updated to ixtreme 1.4 and not banned yet. Just with this new firmware is it ok to play the games that failed in kreon checker? Thanks

I dont think that it was my firmware that was bad because the person that flashed mine has the same firmware and they played the same exact games that i have besides mass affect so i am almost positive that it was mass affect. Not to be crappy or question what you were saying but im sure there is more then one torrent for mass affect so the one that i got might not have been stealth patched, but you could be right and the guy who flased mine could be getting banned soon also.

 

momhoener, i would say that it is not good to play bad back ups because from what i read that is the way they ban, but i cant be sure, i know there are alot more people on here that know alot more then i do so dont take my word on it, but to be sure i wouldnt play them.

take a look at the following thread which explains the possible reason for banning. it's most likely the firmware. and it seems almost "random" if you get banned or not, so you really can't compare to other people.

I agree with it being pretty much "random" i was just saying it could have been the torrent. But im not to worried about it, i mean i expected this to happen at some point, it just sucks when it actually does happen. But you could be right with it being the firmware.

 

I got banned today, logged in for the first time in over a week due to being busy, and was banned. I don't frankly care, because I don't play online much anyway, just thought I'd contribute to the convo. And no, I won't be buying another one, I am not going to support a console built like garbage.

 

I have not posted in a long time here - but I just got banned and have the same status codes as the original poster of this thread.

I actually thought I may never get banned since i was playing on live since the initial ban hammer went down so many months ago! It s ok though since I have so many games that I have barely touched yet and can now complete some missions.

 

Thats what i thought also, and i thought that i might not get banned because the first time i got onto live my box was flashed and i read some articles saying that it could help. But now i just get to flash this another one with the newest firmware and try it again, but atleast i can take it back to best buy in the next two years if anything goes wrong, so if i do get banned i can break it and they will give me another.
