A 2mb connection really isn't very fast, but I know what you mean. I have almost an 8mb connection, and torrents are extremely slow. I read at utorrent's site that the slowness is because your "Port Forwarding" isn't setup right. They tell you how to do it, and I started to, but it got so involved, I gave up.

Maybe someone else can help more.
    Good luck!

Have you tried port forwarding your modem?

go to port forward.com and look up your modem manufacturer and model No. They will ask for your computer ip address later on down the page. Get this by typing "cmd" without the quotes in start/run menu. when the dos screen pops up type in "ipconfig /all" and note down the ip address of the computer. Which ever torrent program you are using open it up and look at the network settings for a port number that it uses to access the internet. Note it down. Sometimes programs use an incomming and outgoing port number. If this is so then note down both. Go back to the portforward website and enter the information when asked. This is how to set up your modem. They should tell you the ip address for your modem. enter that number into the address bar on any web page and that will take you to your modem settings. Just follow the web page instructions from here.

I hope this helps. If not tell me the make and model of your modem and the name of your torrent program and I will show you.

Thanks! but you made a good point before, I should have been more specific. For those who have a seperate router replace the word modem for router in my previous post. Cheers!
