So you mean I cant use dvd-r cd's for my dvd+rw writer? And also as another question does it matter if you use dvd+r or dvd+rw. Please answer each question seperatly.

    Thank you.

Well, first off, DVD's are not CD's. Secondly, as Chris said, no. They are two very different formats.

That's a very vague question. It all depends on what are you planning on doing with these discs?

Well lets just say i want to copy a dvd then what type of discs would I use, DVD+R/DVD+RW? And another question lest say I am taking my .AVI movies ripping them then burning them so as were I can play them in a regular DVD player, then in that case what type would i use, DVD+R/DVD+RW. Please answer these questions seperatly.

    Thank You.

    hi

you can use either to burn DVD but i think dvd+rw are like 80% working in stanalones and dvd+r are like 85% playable?

now dvd-r/dvd-rw are like 90% playable!

also to put AVI on to a dvd format you must convert them to get vob files and ifo and bup files and put them in a video_ts folder then burn to dvd+r/rw

Another Request. Could someone please go into great detail, like step by step teaching me how to burn .AVI files to dvd+r including links to software that might be needed. This would help so much.

    Thank You!
