which is best for burning xp or vista. so far i get errors after i put into the blue ray player. it will play on the computer but not on the player and if i do get it to work i have to go to a sub menue im using memorex dvd-r it worked be fore but not now to many lost disks ..... any info?
Either or should be fine though I too prefer XP. The problem may not be your o/s but the discs you are using - what are they? Players can be picky. What speed are you burning at? If not 8x then try that. Also make sure the firmware is up to date on your burner.
hi all thanks for the info. so far i did get it to work again. i use memorex dvd-r and i haven't tried the firmware yet i use now dvd shrink to dvd decrypter with anydvd off. but takes a long time to do but works. if its my dvd disk when can i use that are better. also i cant get rip 4 me to add fix to the line in the path.so far i use shrink only
Hey P Yep varnull hit the nail on the head. Use Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Not really following that but why not just use AnyDVD running in the background with Shrink or rip w/ AnyDVD then use Shrink.
anydvd costs money (and I won't pay for anything like that when better freeware is available) ri4m is discontinued.. I haven't released an update in over 2 years... people still peddling it around need taking out the back and shooting.. dvd-fab is the tool.. unless you know how to rip audio/video streams straight off the disk to mpeg2 and reauthor  BTW.. from the new verbs I see I wouldn't waste my money on them.. ritek are perfectly adequate for dvd copies.. as are samsung 16x (the pirates choice £12 per 100)
Ritek has been so so for me - the worst being the branded G04's I burned a few years ago. The did burn some Memorex Ritek F16 that have done okay. I haven't tried any branded ones recently - mainly stick w/ TY. Last time I bought some Verbs was probably a couple of months ago. Good then but who knows the may have changed too.
