Afternoon all. I have a nokia dbox 2 that i have messed up. When it turns on, there is no image and no dispay on the lcd screen. Its as if nothing happens. I have tried to use the ifa assistant but it is not working. I have read through a lot of threads and I can't figure out what to do.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks Paul.

Do you think I would have a better chance if I used a null modem cable?

    thanks

I have tried to IFA about a hundred times now and NO LUCK!

I still have no display on the lcd screen and nothing comes up on the television when it turns on. Is there anyone out there that has had a similar problem and fix it? At this stage I am willing to do anything, including opening up the box if needs be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately absolutely nothing. When I try and IFA nothing happens. The status bar that should slowly move across the screen doesn't even come up.

It happened about a year ago. I think I tried to FTP a new image on to the box using windows XP and I managed to mess it up. I now have no display on the box (or lcd screen) at this stage and i have no idea what to do.

Maybe the fuse in the power plug or power plug adapter is gone.

I dont think thats the problem because the light comes on on the lcd display but just no writing of any sort.

You can try to flash the dbox via the emergency flash method with null modem cable only and hyperterminal.

    Evening Gents!

I just tried the HyperTherminal but no dice. When I set up the connection and turned on the dbox absolutely nothing changed on screen, The flashing curser never budged.

Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If the connection setup is right and you get absolute nothing it looks like the box is dead.
Maybe the cpu is gone or such thing else.
