First of all SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH!!!!! I have encoded a 50:43(min:sec) movie using tMPGEnc Plus encoder. I used MPEG2 SVCD codec and Variable Bitrate at 1600 kbits/sec. The file (642Mb) plays fine with PowerDVD at FileMode! I made a SuperVideoCD 1.0 using VCDEasy and i created chapters with ChapterXTractor! The SVCD plays at PowerDVD but "time display" and chapters are not OK! At my DVD Player (Philips 763SA) svcd plays too, but i have wrong chapters and wrong "time display!(different of PowerDVD!!!!!!) Movie doesn't play fast or slow(it plays OK) but DVD's clock goes very slow! The result is that movies lenght according to DVD's clock is 31:48 but real lenght (when you play movie at DVD) is the original 50:43. I tried TSCV but i had the same result!! IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEA PLEASE HELP ME..................... My basic question is if the problem is at codec or at vcd imager or at DVD player!
The option that you selected in TMPGEnc is a relitively new svcd template so a lot of dvd players & dvd software won't recognise it properly. Stand-alones usually work properly with 2520kbits/sec. If you want the time to display correctly then you need to encode the normal svcd!
