I have a ver. 1.50 psp and as far as i know it is one if not the only version of psp that will play homebrew software. That's about it. can someone please explain what are the other advantages about having ver. 1.5 Why shouldn't i upgrade? What is ver 2.00 (i think) gonna have that 1.5 does not have. Can i only play nintendo emulators on it? Someone please reply i need help. Tell me as much as you can if you don't mind typing. Thank you.
OK, basically, you've got the good one - you can use emulators to play lots of fantastic retro games, run homebrew, do all kinds of lovely stuff. The 2.0 firmware upgrade means that your PSP can't do ANY of that - you get a reasonably nice interweb browser, a few little upgrades (to the video stuff, I seem to recall), but that is about it. Have a look at the stickied topics above for more details. Keep what you've got for now. Eventually you'll buy a game that'll force a firmware upgrade - you can't do nowt about that - but til then, enjoy. Game of Balloon Fight, anyone?
Oh and don't forget the lovely loaders, if you are into trying out PSP games before you buy them.....
yes he is talking about illegal games but sony's firmware update version 2.00 contains dnas so you can no longer use the illegal versions online so have fun
can i only play nes games on the psp? I read about someone trying to put neogeo emulator on it ithink. What other emus can i have on it?
what do you think a emulator is it is a illegal piece of software to run games on the only way it is legal if you own the original game if you are caught downloading illegal roms for emulators you could face 5 years in prison and fines of up to 250,000 so you might want to think about that because right now companys are real sue happy
dude calm down i know what an emulator is. I was just asking if any others can be put on there. I can't get sued for that right. Damn!
