Listen to this everyone..Think bout this..Have you ever bought a brand new CD out of the store..And you forgot the OLD FASHIONED cd player at home..And no CD player is in the car..and even if there was you didn't want to listen to your kind of music with your mom or dad or whoever your with..Anyways wouldn't it be cool(Maybe For some people) to have a iPod that is like the ones Now Days and have a ipod with a place on it some where where you could just plug and play a new bought CD..Like what I'm saying is I went to the store and bought the new DMX YEar Of a Dog..Again album and the day I bought it I had my 60 GB iPod Video but no cd player..And I was with my G-Pa and he don't like rap.So I was like man gots to wait till i get him to listen to The DoG.So I thought about this idea in the store..Wat if iPod made a new ipod that you could just plug and play new album..But in order for it to plug and play....The Industry of music and all the Artist or Musicions of the world would have to make a copy of their brand new released albums on a like memory chip..A chip you could just buy from the store open up in the truck/car/suv/train/plane/watever and then plug into your ipod.Then boom music to your ears hits your eardrum..without a big bulcky Cd player..And you don't have to wait to get home to Rip the Cd to your Computer to just update your ipod to have it on there..when you can just plug and play...Oh and if anyone takes this idea and trys to make it blow up..Thats cool..Just umm give credit where credit is do..And some day maybe give me a share in the money..lol..Anyways..Just a thought..You know we all have.. them..but seriously wouldn't that be cool..Lol
wait...what? that's not very clear. you mean, something where you can rip a cd to your ipod through..your car's head unit? i think there's a lot of issues there. you'd probably have it a lot easier if (for some crazy you couldn't wait) you brought along a laptop to rip it or just a portable cd player. how would you edit your track titles and stuff through the head unit? you'd need some kind of onboard computer, i think. *shrugs* there's so much proprietary gear out there; i don't think this could ever happen.
no, he means taking your ipod directly to the music store on the high street and buying songs like you would when you are buying a CD but instead you download them to you ipod and take them with you. i am very sure this will happen, a lot of artists now are supporting download from itunes and i bet the next step is to download wherever you are without buying CDs.
*shrugs* that's one thing i would never do. without a hard copy, you don't really own the music. and no matter how it's encoded, for it to be any reasonable size it's not going to be cd quality--for the audiophiles out there, that's a no no.
Well Jalanene was close..but what I ment was you go to the store and instead of buying a cd you buy like a chip thing...and it has the whole album on it and you just buy the chip instead of a cd and then you just plug it in your ipod and then play it....It's like this it's like a psp you go to the store buy a game disc and put it in your portable psp..Instead you go to a store for music and buy a chip or a memory card sort of like a camera memory card that you can also plug into your computer but also in your ipod...So it would be like buying music on a memory card or a chip that you just plug into your ipod after you open the case after your out of the store..C what I'm saying now??
yet it seems mass culture has chosen the optical disc over the cartridge, Chee5e. you're talking whole new levels of DRM, proprietary technology, and costs. as i said earlier, if you have to hear your music that quickly, i think you'd be better off keeping a laptop in your car.
I think that it's a real good idea, but it'll cost alot of money to buy a chip with a full album in it. iTunes alone costs $.99 per song, a CD normally has 15-20 songs, plus the cost of the chip itself. I just think that it'll never happen. Good idea though. P.S. Why not just use Limewire?
Well first off...I do use limewire..But only for rare songs I can't find...Becuase I beleive in supporting my artsit..Like DMX he deserves the money..So I would rather go hep his album sales than rip him off...You know it's all about respect..Or if you are for just listen to their musik like Right/Wrong off of the Cradle to the grave DVD I couldn't find the song anywhere so Yeah I just downloaded that song..That and Limewire is kinda illegal..But O well it all comes back to the Why should 50 get his new peice today..Or his new benz..back down to the america dollar..But yeah..now that u Mention the chip costing alot..I can understand that..Ohh and Auslender..I am getting a laptop mounted into my truck..It is going to have this like stand thing you drill into the console by the radio and I can jsut slide my $2,000 pc laptop into it..with Blackberry connection..Ohhh So Sweet..Haha..But yeah..It's all cool..Peace
