    supra1982 hi :)
first remove your serial No 1A22*********************** before some one steals it

the newest firmware upgrade is 1.08b get it here
    http://sony.storagesupport.com/dvdrw/firmware.htm#820a

    all DMA should be on
go here for a guide on how to

FasFranks website- http://www.dvdplusvideo.com featuring ScubaPete guides.

a little more memory would'nt go amiss. close a few proccesses whilst burning

i don't believe these are a lot of bottle, try some Verbatim..Ritek or Ty's

way to fast try 6x or 8x or even slower for rubbish media

Packet writing utilities are notorious for interfering with burn processes, as the way it works is to continually poll the burner to check for new media.
This prevents the burn application gaining exclusive access to the burner, and sense code errors will happen - every time.

Get rid of all packet writing utilities.
They are more trouble than they are worth.

InCD are known to conflict with Nero. uninstall Nero and reinstall minus the InCD (don't forget to write down your serial No. you'll need it when you reinstall)
