When I was trying to get my drive in modeb, I was stupid enough to short the two wrong pins. Now my drive wont eject ...
connected to my PC it ejects fine ...
I bought a new drive and got it flashed ... but it won't eject either

Is my xbox totally dead or is there hope ?

Did you hook the SATA cable inside the 360 back into the drive?

You sata cable may be defective. If the drive ejects on the PC. the drive seems fine. I had a similar problem with a defective sata cable.

Is the tray controlled by the sata cable or the 10 pin'ed power'n'such cable ?
    (I shorted legs 0 and 9 instead of 1 and 8 ) ( or the other way around )

When I press the reset button the screensays: opening.
When I press the reset button again, it says closeing and reading on the screen ... after a little while I can feel wibrations in the drive, which I interpet to be the motor spinning. So It is 'only' the tray function, that is not working ... but that is a bit of a problem anyway ..

    all help is appreciated
