All right, kinda noob here. I have successfully shared files using a cat5 crossover. Now, once i Enable the LAN connection my Wireless connection freezes. My signal and connection are excellent but I cant use the browser. Get this, once I boot the pc I have both connections for a breif period until it freezes Unless I disable the LAN I cant browse the web. Why is this? Do I have to bridge the wireless to the LAN? I read somewhere that you have to disable DHCP. The Lan connection is already DHCP disabled, but not the wireless and I cant for the life of me figure out how. Anyone shed some light on brotha-man over here? I know it's something simple...
could be a conflict in a few area's 1. did you set up the LAN connection on the PC for network sharing? 2. did you set up the IP on the Xbox correctly in the same range as the one on the PC 3. DHCP being disabled is exacly the opposite of how mine is set up. But some people set up a static connection while others have to set everything to DHCP (like me) for it to work.
no problem man, and yes it happens to us all. Including me when i first got my Xbox and tried to set up FTP. I had all the setting, i checked and double checked them and they were all correct. So why didn't it work i cursed under my breath. Then i learned about setting up connection sharing
