I have an unmodded original xbox. I think my dashboard has gone south. I get a 14 error as well as the ocasional 13 or 21 after the initial xbox splash screen. I have opened it, to blow it with air and reseat everything, so return to microsoft not an option. I do not want to put any hardware mods in, I just want to get it back working stock or better with software. ANy ideas where to start?
you could softmod it and re-install the ms dashboard and then remove the softmod that might help other than that i dont know....
I would do as the ridges suggests, softmod it using the guide on this site and then you will be able to re install the M$ dashboard. Once you've done that uninstall softmod and files that are not needed and it will (should) be back to original settings.
