I have this old gateway, with a 354mhz pentium 2 processor and 512 mb ram, and my dad wants to connect it to the TV and use it to download and watch online shows. But before I can connect it to my TV, I need a new graphics card. The motherboard says agp 128 on it so will any AGP card work? I found this 9550 with 128mb ram, a DVI as well as an analog port, and a S-Video port for $23. But it has Pentium 3 under minumum requirements. Will it work with my computer? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814103162
well if ure gonna use it for gaming then of course u need a better proc to make use of it but if ure just gonna use it for the tv then it will work just make sure the motherboard is agp 4x or agp 8x
I looked on my graphics card and it is a stb gway vel 128 agp, and Im pretty sure that its an AGP 2x card (right?). So I will probably need a 2x/4x card (right?). I looked on New egg and there is a MX 4000 for $22 with an Svideo port so I am thinking about getting it as I have an MX 400 in my Pentium 4 dell and I used to play games on it and it hasn't had any problems (no, I wont be using this one for games, only video). Should I get this one or is there a better card for agp 2x? http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?N=2010380048+1069609638&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=48
