i took my stock xbox and put softmods on it. when i found out that i couldnt get on xbox live i deleted my softmod files. but when now when i go to network settings or account recovery or anything a screen comes up with a "21" in the corner saying my xbox requires service. this is my only problem. if anyone could help me that would be great. what i want to know is... Is there a way to restore my xbox? How do i properly remove all modded content from my xbox? I really just need to get it back to normal
hey, i got this from a forum called 'XBOX Error Codes Explained- Go Here First!' this was done by 'deezp1' he has a whole page on these errors, i am thinking it is an error anyway?! 21 - anywhere - This error says that the machine was booted to display a error, basically someone told the machine to reboot (or launch a xbe) with this flag, and the error code just means its been rebooted by the flag This occurs frequently when the xbox is unable to boot due to dashboard changes being made (ie Gcue true blue hasnt been resigned, parts of the stock dash are missing - incomplete FTP backups copied to a new HDD for example). i dont know how to get it back to normal, you prob shouldnt have deleted all those files, i dont know of anyway of restoring the xbox except to buy a new one, other people might know though so youl probably have to wait and see. i thought i would just letting you know what your error is soz if this doesnt help!?!?
if u backed up the eeprom theres a way to restore it easily. if not u have to hardmod it to make it work.
try using the softmod hack with one of the 3 games 007 ect.... and boot to the game. Uninstall the ude and you should go back to normal settings, it worked for me.
