I need a tool to put mp3's in the msdash music section, any ideas? whats good to use? i got this one tool but is messes up (Virtual Xbox CD Ripper) is there a better one out there?
I prefer Xbox Soundtrack Editor when making MS dashboard compatible soundtracks. I used it to transfer a ton of songs before I played Black. Make sure you convert the songs to WMA prior to transfer though.
thanks... erm... do you have a link? I know its cheeky to ask and yes, they are in the correct format
Actually, now that I think about it, I remembered the wrong name. The one I meant to say is Xbox Soundtrack Manager (had to check my Xbox folder to see what program I used...). Apparently, it's a newer version of Virtual Xbox CD Ripper. I know I've used it a few times, so it should be fine. http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/~xbox/xbox-scene/tools/managers/XboxSoundtrackManager_0002.zip
ok Thanks for that ^_^ bloody program only works properly if you do one at a time though, is this the only program that can both convert and transfer??? excuse the EDIT keyboard batteries are going ^_^
Now I'm just upset with myself... Turns out, I was right the first time, since I do remember having to convert everything beforehand. For whatever reason, I didn't have it on my PC anymore, but I had the other one, which cause all the confusion in the first place... Anyway, use Xbox Soundtrack Editor. I just tried using the Xbox Soundtrack Manager, and it basically crashed when my firewall stopped it mid process before I could set it to allow. Xbox Soundtrack Editor should allow you to quickly transfer WMA songs and create/delete soundtracks. I'm really sorry about this... http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/~xbox/xbox-scene/tools/utils/xboxst097.zip
well, I got 3 prgrams that state they can edit the msdash soundtracks, the most reliable is the one where I can only do it one at a time or it crashes ^_^ they all mess up but this one does it less and at least i got tunes on there now ^_^ Thanks any how ^_^
