I need HD TV help

    I just got my ps3, its awesome, but my tv i got 4 years ago, its has those hd plug ins that have the colors blue, green and red and the normal AV plugs, but I don't know if my TV can supports 1080i, can I just put 1080i in the settings and it will show up as 1080i or what will happen, will it just show as 480p, or, does anyone know because I've having trouble with that, so, can you guys help?

    u mean component cables to figure out if your tv can ahndle it take the Model # on the tv( most of time on the back) no i think u can't use 1080i for the ps3 but use 720p its alot better

    If your tv is a Tube (CRT) HDTV then set the PS3 to 1080i. If it is an LCD HDTV set the PS3 to 720p.

    i don't know what it is, i got a long time ago, its hd though, thats all i know

    Sounds like you have 1080i on component video... set your PS3 to 1080i and you should be fine.
