i want to know how to "backup" my Windows XP Operating system CD. can anybody please tell me a way to do that.
It's quite easy really. All you need is a pc, a good burning utility, a blank cd and a cd burner. My utility of choice is slysofts clone cd. It has never failed me and all my backups. You can get it here http://www.slysoft.com/en/clonecd.html Just pop the disk to be copied into the drive. Click copy disk. It will be read to the Hard drive. When prompted remove original cd and then put in blank cd and close drawer. When the program completes remove fully backed up disk. That's the easiest way, however if you have 2 drives its possible to copy "on the fly" and load both the original and blank cd and copy from one to the other directly. Remember this is only legal if you are backing up a disk you already own as a reserve back up copy only. Don't go pirating copywrited material. Big brother is watching hee hee.
