hi i am new to the whole backing up xbox game scene so please bear with me. i downloaded half life 2 from the net for xbox to see if it's going to work on my xbox 360 without modding it. but after i am done downloading it, i don't know what to do next. i got a bunch if files and i don't think they are iso. i read that i have to download qwix to make an iso but when i tried making an iso, the i tried to unzip it, it gave me error. and also i was able to burn it on a dvd+r but when i popped it in my 360 it says that it's a multimedia file. can anyone help me? please i'm a newbie and this is my first post. thanks a lot

they are most likely rar files.
use Winrar to unzip the first file (like game.001)
then you should get your ISO
Do a search as there are a million posts here on how to do this already. The process would be no different then doing a PS2
game that was DL'ed so just search "Winrar" here and i am sure you
    will find plenty

thanks for the reply. but do you think it will work on my 360 without modding it because i thought it says on the specs that 360's could play dvd-r, dvd+r, etc.

they were most likely talking about back up movies,
not games. As all systems will play back up movies without
    modding them.
I would say the answer is no, it will not
but you can give it a try.
It will take time until people invent a chip or mod for the 360
as it just came out. But you can bet your last dollar that it
    is in the works.
