I Need help buying Ram

    I thinking of getting either 1 gig or 512mb ram for my computer. This is my 1st time so can someone help me. What do i need to look for to see if it's compatible. I want to order on newegg.

    moved to correct forum as not a windows issue. what is the make & model# of the laptop? you need ddr ram possibly sodimm type which is smaller in length compared to desktop ram.

    Newegg has a ram compatibilty guide on their site. You input laptop, desktop, motherboard, then brand name, etc. It will guide you to what you need. If you don't feel comfortable with that try their custmoer service chat. They will point you in the right direction. No endorsement here just my opinion but they do it right. I've never had an issue buying from them or returning faulty product.
