Alright, ive dealt with this problem for months and months now, but now i can't take it anymore, i need help, bad. Alright, i turn my Xbox on, and this clicking noise in my hard drive starts. So i wait until the xbox logo screen comes up(The noise is still going). So i wait, and it reboots for like 3 times, then after those 3 times, it just gives up on me, and it takes me to the "Your Xbox Needs Tech Support" screen. I already checked the IDE cable, unplugged, and replugged it, and i know the clicking noise i coming from the drive, because i already opened the xbox up and held the drive to my ear, and the noise was coming from their, 100% sure about. And now i don't know what to do, please help me out, i would really appreciate it. Thanks.
You're hard drive's dead and needs to be replaced. The easiest way to replace it would be to install a mod chip at the same time, since it'll allow the Xbox to work with an unlocked hard drive. After that, you can use AID or Slayer's to format and lock the hard drive to your motherboard. They can also be used to install hacked dashboards.
