I hit the f10 when my pc was starting up. This made it go back to factory settings. I need to go back to what I had. It is a hp compaq desktop running xp. can anyone tell me how to return to the pre recovery state? Linda
do a system restore to an earlier point... go here to lear how: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084 now if you say back to factory settings...did it delete your previous files and installed all software that came with the pc? cuz if it did then you just lost all you data and there is no way of going back to what you had... Another way is if you backed up your system to dvd's, then you could restore from there...
