    Hello,
I need some help really bad , i have tried and tried to find a program
or some way of doing it myself with no luck.
I have a Konica Minolta Dimage Z3 digital camera,it also does video.
i made a video with it and loaded it into my computer , it says it is a Quicktime movie.
My problem is that the video lighting is to dark , i can hardly see the person in it , but i really don't want to lose this video it is very important, i thought i was in enough light when i made it but i guess i wasn't.
Is there a way or maybe a program i can use to edit the video to make it lighter and make him show up better?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Two choices, convert the Quicktime file to AVI and load it into 'VirtualDub', use the 'Brightness/Contrast' filter to try and adjust the movie.

Install the codecs (they can all be uninstalled using Control Panel)
Run VirtualDub (there is no installation), load or drag the newly converted AVI file.

Click Video > Full processing > Filters > Add > and double click on 'Brightness/Contrast', adjust to suit. Use the preview to see the results > OK > OK.

Click 'Video' > 'Compression' and select the same compression as the input video (probably DivX or XviD) and then Click 'File' and save as a new file.

If you cannot convert the file to AVI, then practice on any AVI.

When satisfied, repost and ask how to load the Quicktime file using AviSynth (which is the second choice;it cuts out the conversion step and saves the quality a little).

    VirtualDub, look for 'stable' download.

    XVid Codec

    Free DivX codec

Lame MP3 codec (for audio conversion if required).

The contrast is +200% in the top frame.

Hey Attar thank you very much for responding.
I am so sorry but im lost here , i know you gave GREAT advice
here but im not sure how to do it.

Maybe i should tell you more of what i want to do.
I wanted to take this video and put it on my myspace,
i know how to put a video on myspce but the problem is of
course its to dark , and im not sure why its dark?
If i view it from my camera it shows up great ,
also if i play it on windows media player 11 it shows up great,
But if i view it from real player it is dark,
also when i upload it to my google video or to myspace videos
    it is very dark.
I tried to turn it into a AVI with no luck , when i did that it wouldn't play at all "so i know i messed up on that".
It is a video of the CEO of a company me and my husband have joined and i really want to fix this video , but im not smart enough on how to do it i guess.

You don't have to or anything but if you want i can try to put the link to it where i got it in my videos on myspace and maybe you can look at it and maybe try to help this Country Girl.

Thank You in Advance all help is greatly appreciated.

If I had a good video (it displays great with WMP!) I wouldn't be adjusting it.
The fact that some players display the file better than others reflects the difference in the quality of the codecs they use.
You can't control the file after it's uploaded - they will compress it, thus lowering the quality before streaming it.
The quality I saw, is no worse than any other stream taken from a still camera.

Thank you very much for giving me advice on this .
I wish i could make it work though,
I would really like to have the video on my myspace page.
I still have the original on my camera .
Im trying to find a way to download it into a player for myspace that
would play it the way i want to.
