    Well, Brandon37:

First I have to ask if the blank CD is being inserted into a CD burner or are you just placing it in a CD drive? A CD drive can not burn a CD and that may be your problem.

If it is a burner then check to make sure that it will burn. For example if you have a CD-RW then the information may be erased. Try it to make sure the burner is working. Let me know if you have any other problems.

    Good luck!

Did you test the burner? Just telling me you have a CD burner says nothing. Those things go out all the time. If you test it and it works then let me know.

Ok Try using a different Cd burning program. i.e. itunes.
Also put a pc game in the drive and see if it boots up.
If it boots up then it might be just a cd rom drive not a cd burner
    that you have.

brandon, eh? we have a name in common :D

do you have multiple optical drives? if so, are you sure you're putting the blank in drive E? is the cd-rw blank or in need of being erased? can your drive burn rewritables or is it too old? do you have another program to try, such as Alcohol or Nero?
