I have a dell computer and I got a virus... I ran everything I could, virus scan (I deleted it many times on the anti-virus program but it doesnt delete off my computer), I followed the systematic directions to remove it... didn;t work.

MY question is how can I delete a file! I right click and click delete and it says "Cannot delete file because another program is using it" please dont tell me to stop the program and delete it because there is no prgram that I can stop its an unknown application because its a virus.

How do I delete a file that has a program running, please help me out there must be a way.

Why cant dell make an option like... Do you want to delete this file... a program is running with it but do you want to delete it anyway

Can someone please help... Thanks soo much.

In addition to what ddp said, I will tell you that it sure isn't a Dell problem that you can't delete that file. Nothing that they can put in their computers will delete a user's error. You, being the user.
