Please help me. Thanks
Do you know when you turn on your XBOX without a game in it, and it loads the green screen with all the configuration options? That is your Default Microsoft Dashboard. After an XBOX is modded, you can install other dashboards that do oh so much more than what comes from the factory. Avalaunch, XBOX Media Center, EvolutionX, UnleashX... All these are examples of dashboards that you can put on your XBOX. I use UnleashX as my default dash, but have all the others installed as applications. Whatever you want. I have emulators on my XBOX so I can play all the old Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64, Sega games. I also have XBOX media center, and I stream movies from my computer downstairs through my XBOX to watch on my TV. I love it for my AVI files, as I don't have a DVD player that can play them. XBMC does it all. I would suggest getting AID 3.0 After your box is modded (either through software or a chip), you can use an auto installer like AID 3.0 to install all the emulators and apps that your heart could desire. This auto installer is user friendly, and self explanatory once you see it... You can also FTP (File Trasnfer Protocol) directly to your xbox. Either way, once you grasp the basics, it is not hard. This depends... If you mean XBOX games on your hardrive, that is simple. Once you have a new dashboard, (I use unleashX) there is an option to rip a game directly to your hardrive. Done.... Easy as pie... Now if that doesn't work, there is a program on the AID3.0 disc called DVD2XBOX that will do the trick. If you mean Emulator games, these are called ROMS, and can be found at all the usual places. IRC, bit torrent etc... You have to FTP using a FTP client from your home PC to your XBOX. I don't know diddly squat about chips. I used a softmod... As far as a softmod, I highly suggest you check out this thread... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/311710 Also head on over to http://www.xbox-hq.com Those fellas wrote the softmod in the first thread I am sending you to... They know what they are talking about. Hope this helps!!!
1.what is a dashboard? EvoX is alright, UnleashX is great, Avalaunch also prtty good 2.what programs do i need for the xbox? XBMC, DVD2Xbox, Xored Trainer Launcher, emulators & roms, DVD RegionX really depends on what you want to do. 3.how do i install them to my xbox? Via FTP or if your get a chip the easiest way is to download and burn an auto installer disc like Slaer 2.6 or AID 3.0 this will format your hard drive and install everthing in 2 easy steps. 4.how do i put the games in my xbox? DVD2Xbox off of the disc, FTP from PC with an FTP program like FlashFXP or WS_FTP Pro, Craxtion or Qwix also works 5.which mod chip is the best? DuoX2 is cheap and works really good 6.what do i need to mod my xbox? I suggest getting a chip installed, the softmod you can do yourself but there are things like changing the HDD that are just much more complicated with a softmod. Not even sure you can use an auto installer with a softmod either. lots of tutorials to help you here http://www.teammodders.com/viewforum.php?f=45 and they could also mod your Xbox for you if you like. http://www.teammodders.com/index.php go there and look around the Xbox section ans you will find tons of useful information.
Sure you CAN!!! A softmod mimics a chip. AID 3.2 (the current release) has everything you will need. Installing a HDD with a softmod is really not all that complicated either. Just have to be careful. :>P
