My computer is an Acer Aspire 5532 Operating System:Windows 7 Home Premium CPU:AMD Athlon Processor TF-20 (GHz 1.6 or MHz 1600) CPU Socket:S1G1 GPU:ATI Radeon HD3200 Graphics up to 1408 HyperMemory RAM:3GB HDD:160GB I what to install a faster CPU I wanted to know what's the highest processor I can get?
Since it's a laptop, your best bet if you want faster performance is to get a ssd hard drive. That is the bottleneck on laptops. If you did get a faster cpu and somehow where able to install it, it would only decrease your battery life and not really improve your performance since the hard drive would still be the slowest part in your computer. Go to youtube and type in x-25 ssd, you get an idea of what kind of speed increase you can get. They are more expensive but they are the only way to increase your boot times and file access on a laptop.
