I have searched for almost an hour and I still can't find what I need.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong here... I bought another ethernet port and installed it in my computer. Then, I bought a crossover cable, and connected it from my pc to my xbox. This is my setup: modem --> router --> pc --> xbox. Now, when I try to start Xbox Live, it gives me an IP not confirmed error, and says that the DNS was not found. How can I fix this?

When I have all else figured out, how can I choose which specific person to boot after my friend bridges me host? I want to be able to tell which IP address belongs to the modder.

did you bridge the local area connection and the xbox connections together?
You can tell which IP is the modder's by using CommView or just ask him to check it himself and have him read it out to you. Go to whatismyip.com this website tells you the IP of your computer. If you're playing against the modder, there is no way to tell their IP. you can only tell your friends and yours only. Then you block every other IP, which lags them out. Only the bridger can choose which person to lag out. He chooses an IP (hopefully not his friends) then blocks it with Zone Alarm Pro. Make sure you put the person who wants to be host's IP in the trusted zone. If you use Sygate Firewall Pro it's much easier to use, but much harder to get. Hope this helps cause i wrote a lot

Yes, I bridged both of them together, and it still won't work.
