i need help with the uplink port on my switch.

    ok i have a 4 port wireless switch as well as an 8 port switch.i would like to know can i connect the two of them together some how so as to expand the amount of things i can have connected? also how do i go around using the uplink port on the 8 port switch.

    the 4 port is an elements wireless g-router witch me and my dad have made a wireless switch and the 8 port is a st lab 8 port 10/100 Nway switch hub.

    connect the 8 port uplink(wan) port to 1 of the 4 ports into the wireless. use a straight thru cable.

    ok so i dont need to use the uplink? and also what do you meen by a stright through cable do you mean like ethernet cable or a rj-45 patch cabel?

    it is an ethernet cable but is wired corresponding pin to pin straight thru whereas a crossover cable is wired differently pin to pin.
