I do hope you guys can help me.I teally need alot of help. I am very and I do mean very new to this. I have a Xbox 1.6 and I want to do the soft mod. I have everything I need I think. I have a USB adaptor for xbox, Crossover cable,Flash FXP, Action Replay, Memory card and Splinter Cell. All I need is STEP by STEP and I do mean STEP by STEP instructions. Please keep in mind that I am new to this. If anyone has the time to help me please do. I know once I get it I will never forget it. I hope I am not asking to much. If by any chance you can't help Thank you for taking the time to read this.
1. open your xbox 2. take out dvd and hdd 3. takes some water or beer(i prefer beeer) and splash it on the mother board. 4. start up xbox, should run with out hdd or dvd..... lol ok ok ok just messin 1. you need to find SID v2.0 (softmod installer deluxe) it will have the save files you need to transfer onto mem card thru AR 2. Once you have sid, extract to a directory and open that folder. there should be a few different saves there. since you have splintercell thats the one you'll want so you'll have to unzip either the pal or the ntsc depending on your box. then there will be another file with splintercell in its name which you'll also want to extract(this is the linux installer for splintercell softmod) 3. load up AR(keep the folder of where you extracted the save and linux instller open as well, cuz your going to have to drag and drop into AR 4. plug in your xbox controller(assuming you have the drivers for your xbox contoller and memory card installed) 5. drag the ntsc folder on to AR where all the saves are. not the memory card area but where all the other saves are. should be in middle of AR window(do the same for the installer) 6. select the saves and transfer them from saves to mem card 7. load up splintercell in xbox 8. goto new game, and load the only file in the saves area 9. you should now be able to back up M$ stuff, and mod stuff from a slection menu 10. BACK UP M$ stuff right away 11. install softmod 12. install evox or whichever dash you prefer. you can change this later with slayers auto installer for better evox dash 13. back up softmod as well 14. ftp to your xbox to tranfer all files in backup to your pc hdd so you can save ur xbox if it ever fails I believe thats all there is to softmodding the way you wanted... if anyone else has anything to inputplease do... loof for softmodding tutorials on www.xbox-scene.com as well... it will be under tutorials
Hey hope I'm not too late, but I just saw this today. This is for panthersf. After you install the softmod and the evolution x. You will want to run the patch 5960. wait for it to work.(It should go back to linux screen when you are done)Then backup the softmod and power down your box. when you start it back up you should be able to go back and forth between evox and ms dash.

dude what? If you have already loaded evox then surely you have installed the softmod already. What exacly do you need help with?
Umm i guess i'm trying to load the game , but everytime i push the eject button it resets the xbox. I mean is that it? Did i load the evox correctly? If i can load it using the splinter cell exploit is that it?,But yea i want to load the game using evox dash, it resets it self i push the eject button, how would u load the game?
well the splinter cell exploit is only for gaing access to your xbox it willnot run games you have to ftp some files accross to your xbox to replace your normal dash with an evo dash. thats why it resets when you try to load a disk . from the dog
