ok i just bought the solderless xecuter3 mod chip and i need to kno if i need to buy any thing else to be able to start mdding like do i need to buy the buttons or do i need to download some software to program it plz help im a noob

I would go with the Xecuter 3, it's the best modchip for the xbox. and if you really want to mod install a new HDD into the xbox. that way you can back up your games, movies, music.....but first install the modchip.
