Ive been moddin for a long time on xbl and i thought that i would play on xbc and find out how to mod old maps. i found out about trainers and thought that i would try them . so i downloaded the new evo x and i looked all around to find out how to transfer them to my box threw flash fxp. everyone says go to the trainers file in c and i did and there wasnt one. i made my own trainers file like i did with the game file to save halo2 to and it didnt work. when i go to trainers it says "sorry trainer" ive rebooted and everything i could find to do but i still cant get it to work. can someone help me or at least tell me what to do? thanx

Have a look in evox.ini and see where it is looking for the trainers folder...edit it to point at the one you made if needs....

the above is a good start, if there was no folder to start with then you may have to edit the EvoX.INI file with notepad on your PC and link a start menu item to the location of the trainers folder.

Other than that the only problem i see most people have is that when they FTP them, they FTP a whole folder, and not just the one trainer file that is needed. If it is inside a folder, inside of the trainers folder it will not work.

Another great trainer program you can go look for is Xored Trainer Launcher. The Megagames site has it and a full trainers pack.
ONce you FTP the Xored program to your apps folder, then unzip ann FTP the individual trainers to your trainers folder. You just start Xored and all your Xored trainers will show in the program, then you select the game you want and it displays all the trainer files you have for that game, as you have multiple ones.
Then go into the one you want to use, turn on the trainers you want and hit start.

Just put the Xored app folder in the E:\ or F:\ apps folder like anything else..

Apart from that Steimy has said everything else

    trainers from

    http://www.maxconsole.com

Now that's asking..I have over 700 trainers 137 games about 20 films 900 or so mp3's and something like 600 skins and 8.2 GB of pictures, also just about every app under the sun on this box!!3 different kinds of linux and 3 versions of xbmc and the old xbmp as well!! There is no way I'm listing all that......

The trainers folder is... C:\trainers (you can edit the evox.ini file to point somewhere else, I don't know if trainers will work from another location..Steimy, have you ever tried running them from F:\?) and should just have the .etm files in it..no folders, if you want to put the .nfo files in here as well it does no harm

Apps folder...You must have an apps folder!! What installer did you use to not make an apps folder??????

It's on E:\ or F:\ and just called apps, contains everything like dvd2xbox, avalaunch, hddloader, xbmc, complex tools, aid..and loads of other stuff, It all depends what you installed, every xbox is different!!..all your applications programs except your main dash files..

It will be easier for us to work out if you post what folders you have on your drives and your evox.ini file.. Then we have something to start from...As you were on xbl then this is some sort of stealth install... You need to look at the posts about being modded on live and try to work out where everything goes..I don't know anything about stealth installs....

    OK were all confused

Contents of C:\ should look something similar to

    folder...audio
    folder...fonts
    folder...xboxdash****
    folder...xodash
    file.....xboxdash.xbe
    file.....xboxbook.ttf
    file.....evoxdash.xbe
    file.....evox.ini

maybe not exactly like that..it depends if it's a softmod or a chip. Don't go deleting or modifying any of the files already on this drive....

What you need to do here is make a folder called "trainers"

Then you need to put your downloaded trainers in it!!

Then find the evox.ini file and edit the entry for trainer_path_id (something like that) to point to the Trainers folder you just made..

    That's all..

If you post the list of the C:\ I can see what's going on...softmods are done differently..and need more care

I could send you a file but the chances of it working for you at the moment are zero..

I assume this is a softmod?
