I downloaded Scary Movie and it downloaded as a mpg, but when i go to burn it with nero startsmart it says that the file format has to be bup,vup,ifo...how do i change it to one of them?
Nero smartstart is not actually a program but more of a menu, which program are you trying to burn with Express, Burning Rom or Vision?
im not sure...the short cut on my desktop just says nero startsmart...we didnt dl it. when we got the computer they put it in it for us...
So what you are saying is that you ripped it to your hard drive from an original disc? What program did you use to rip with?
no i downloaded it off of limewire...and i cant get it to burn to a disk...when i try to burn it its not the right file type...it has to be bup vob or ifo...and i dont know how to make it that file type
Open Nero Vision, select make a DVD, select DVD Video...add files to your burn queue. Nero will automatically convert the files into a DVD compliant format automatically and then burn to the disc.
i tried...first i had to click all files to see the move...and then i tryed to add it to burn and then it says no compatible file found
I had this problem with nero too..it only wants to convert avi files...What I did was used VSO divx to dvd pro to make all the vob and ifo files and then put them in the video_ts folder in nero express..they burn ok then I only dropped in here because I have a sadistic fascination with threads that start "i need help"...I must need help! lol
http://www.vso-software.fr/ There are trial version above, but they will have a watermark on the backup I believe. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/winmpg_video_convert.cfm Or you could try this one...I don't usually do these type of conversions so I can't tell you how they work or what kind of quality you'll end up with.
Yeah the VSO trial has a watermark for the first 60 seconds or so.. I got mine off the torrents,It goes under the name of Divx6 create bundle and comes with a really good divx player and converters for both ways. but don't ask me where cos I honestly can't remember.. The quality was excellent...But I don't have a copy any more because I gave up with windows a few weeks ago...
