I need more help on error 16

I read all about hot swaping and everything but when i start my xbox it Shows the X and says xbox, but no microsoft log then it goes to the error 16 screen, Is there any way to fix this problem without using a Modchip? Plz help Me......

 

u dont need a modchip 2 hotswap...

 

I know that but i heard that if the microsoft logo doesnt aper on the botom it maye not be sucsesssful...so does it have to say microsoft under the X

 

yea or the name of the modchip you are using...

 

But i dont have a mod chip id just says X then under it xbox...it doesnt show the microsoft logo on the bottem it just goes straight to erro 16 flashing green and red...plz help me does it need to say microsoft logo to work?

yea just hotswap it its not too hard but with out the microsoft logo i dont think you can but id give it a try

yes if u start up ur xbox and it takes u two the error screen the easiest way to fix this is to hotswap...

Unplug the DVD-ROM's power and IDE cable while the Xbox is off.

When you turn it on, it should throw an error 11 (no DVD drive found) instead of 16, allowing you to hot swap.

I have another problem when i unpluged the dvd power and ide cable and started it said error 12 insted of error 11 i did what it said and i still got error 12 can i still hot swap it or how do i make it get error 11??? PLz help....

 

It should be fine. Try hot swapping and see what happens.

Ideally, the hard drive should unlock with either of those codes. The important thing is that you had to get a different error code to pop up, which it did.
