OK....... First, I'm getting too long in the teeth for some of the explanations on to perform various things in audio/video processing.

I found VirtualDub by accident when looking for an app that would help me put movie files together and clean them up a bit. Now I'm having all type of problems when I need to install filters for sound, subtitles and the like...........

I hoping someone out there can steer me in the right direction in installing these plug-ins so that they work. A simple list of instructions as to where to install what would be extremely helpful as my brain is too old to be fumbling around with these things. I can't seem to get anything I download to work with VirtualDub.

    Help greatly appreciated......

With Virtualdub you copy the *.vdf files in to the
virtualdub plugins folder. That's all you have to do.
When you restart Vdub, they'll be there under "filters".

Your best bet is to use avidemux, it already has many plugins built-in. It doesn't get any easier than that.

Virtualdub is too complicated piece of software especially when avidemux can do the same thing in most cases.
