I have an original xbox with the evol dashboard set up, and my super nintendo emulator no longer works. I have ftp'd my computer to the box, and the xbox shows the roms are still in a folder on E called snes roms, though they are all still zipped. I actually went ahead and transferred .smc roms to my xbox from the pc and a copy of my snes emulator, but it still doesn't work. The really weird thing to me is that the background with zelda and mario still shows up, it just says there are no roms found. Is there something I'm missing, perhaps a file that needs to be there to read it?

cool, thanks. How do I fix this then? I have looked at the evox.ini file, which I am under the impression is the config file, and I don't see anything about roms. and all the roms for the other emulators work.

look in the emulator folder for a snes9x.ini or config file.. then CAREFULLY edit that to show the correct path.. the xbox is CaSe SeNsitIvE

Mine (when I still had it) had the roms in an odd place.. buried in the actual emulator directory about 20 layers down in a media/games/roms folder.

ok, that's part of the problem. I don't see an emulator folder. I have C, and the evox.ini etc, but no folder or files labeled emulators etc. I have a C drive with all the basic stuff for the system, i assume, and an E drive with all the roms for the systems, though I don't see an explicit folders or files that are the emulators, and then F with the actual xbox games. The Roms are in the same place they were when it worked, but it no longer recognizes them.

throws hands in air and walks away.... FFS.. LOOK FOR THE EMULATORS FOLDER... it can be called E:/what-a-load-of-shite/somewhere/moron/xsnescrappy so long as the path is correct in evox.ini .. this is a proper linux os.. not some windows junk... things can be anywhere so long as the paths are correct in the config files ffs.. the bastard emulator starts.. so it must be somewhere..

I suggest you look at a few of the real real linux file management basics guides which exist.. and the 300 BILLION times your exact same question has been asked in THESE VERY FORUMS....

creaky.. please close this before I start really shouting at his waste of skin XD

Man, shut the *bleep* you waste of flesh. I am perfectly able to understand the process of fixing this, however, it is the first time I've worked on this. Don't *bleep* waste my time with this anymore, go back to *bleep* mmorpgs and disturbed and whatever *bleep* D n D based *bleep* music you listen to and sitting your fat ass on a too small computer seat surrounded by 96 oz of diet soda in moms basement. go *bleep*.

    Wow.
As i'm still somewhat of an xbox noob myself i find that outburst a tad uncalled for. Even i know how to edit the evox.ini file and point it somewhere/create new folder then point evox.ini there.
There's absolutely no need for such dramatic and teen-angst behaviour, and as for insulting Disturbed's music....
Shame on you for liking classical music, rap or country or whatever, those are all the devil's music :)
