    Hi! I'm new here.

I have a problem with converting a divx file to a vcd format. I managed to get it working with nero burning rom 5.5 but the problem is it doesn't have sound after a few seconds. The divx file plays fine on my computer. However, the vcd file has that problem on both my computer and vcd player.

Does anybody here know what the problem can be?

I would appreciate any suggestions and advice.

    Thanks!
    Alison

Alison21, why do you want to convert a DivX (best quality) video to a vcd (-not- best quality..lol) video? I'm assuming it's so you can play the video on your standalone dvd player and watch it on your tv. But you can also run a cable from your video card to your dvd player and play the DivX on your pc and watch it on your tv. Or, just watch the DivX on the pc and be happy :)

Alison - why not download an AC3 authoring program and test the sound files using that. Is the sound out of sink at all on the computer. Also, does your DVD accept all types of CD-R and is VCD an accepted format also. If that doesnt work, try SVCD
