Basically, I have had xbox live for about a month and I soon came to realize that I kinda suck at halo 2(I can't seem to get past level 19... yes, I'm that bad) . So i thought to myself... Why don't I just become a modder and start owning everybody in halo 2. So, a week ago I went and picked myself up an Action Replay. Then I soon came to realize that I can't seem to find any of those sweet mods like auto-lock on, high jump, duel wield anything, super speed (you know...the good ones). So what i'm asking here is how to do it in a simple way without messing up my xbox to much. Please, keep in mind that I don't know much about computers and i really want to do this modding in the simplest way possible. Thanks for taking your time reading this and possibly responding.
Not to put a damper on your plans, but Bungie came out with an AutoUpdate a few weeks ago and it was made to stop Modders. Many of the modders thought they could get passed this but they got banned very quickly. One of my modding friends whose account was about to expire, tryed modding. He was banned within four hours of going online. For other people it can take up to 5 days, but Bungie is really cracking down on modders. If you really want to try it, there are a whole bunch of tutorials on this website. But know that if you get banned, your [bold]XBOX[/bold] will be banned from matchmaking. to get back on Live, you will need a [bold]NEW[/bold] Xbox. I think ther are ways to get around this, but as you said, you don't have that mauch PC knowledge. Actually, your gamertag that you used to go online while you had mods on your xbox will be banned from mm...not any of your other accounts. And...sorry to say, but people have crack the au. Yeah it sux, but it happened. But, so far, the only good thing is, is that they are keeping it to themselves and it hasnt gotten out to any of the big websites yet. But i suggest that if you find an au crack at a website...not to d/l it and attempt to use it. Most of them are fakes and are just for attraction to their websites. But if you still want to mod jsut to have fun and to know how to, go to the website in my sig. We have some really good tutorials on how to use the modding programs for halo...also we have all the modding programs. So check it out if you would like to still learn how to mod.
pyrus your a nube you dont deserve to mod so dont even try ok cause if you dont know how to softmod and you cant even get past level 19 you dont deserve to own anyone at any game
hey umm i have ftped my box and i have connected with flashfxp and the folders come up but before i do any thing els, if i sign on with an account with mods will i get banned from matchmaking or xbox live.
if u sign on halo2 Live with an account an there is modded content on ur HD u will be banned from Matchmaking from that account. If u sign on live with a mod chip on u will be banned from live!
ok thanks im softmodding so ill only get banned from matchmaking witch is good, but im trying to put my modded maps into my xbox through flash fxp but when i put them on then go play halo it plays the normal maps so what do i do
Most likley u did not use a map resigner to encrypt the maps before putting the maps back on the HD, correct??? if so then thats ur next projet there are pleanty of map resigners around just ask around. If u are completely stumped then i can send u one just message me if u need to do so. Now i'll just lay out a quick modding outline for halo 2. Flash to ur box and get maps out of e/tdata/(c$) or something like that/ then a folder that ends in 0064 and then u have 3 folders that end 001-003. Make identical folders on ur comp and drag the conents into those folders. Go to http://www.halompas.com and download dothalo in .rar fomat in which u unrar it with winrar which can easily be found. open up dothalo and then open map and now u can edit them the way u want or even apply ppf patches to them. Save it then close map. open up a map resigner then open the map then resign it (Should do it automatically) then FTP it back to the right folder on ur box and astalavista u have a modded map!!!
Yes u must always resign the map when it is taken off and modded then about to be put back on!!!! other wise u will experience what u are now!
i know im kind of behind but one way from not getting banned from auto update for about a couple of days if ur lucky thaat auto update cant detect it. but there is a way that my friend knows how to make it so they cant detect u ever but he hasnt told me the secret yet.
i know how, you gott download a certain patch that makes it so, bungie dosent see that your modding,also you could have unplugged your modem while you where downloading the update and it would register that you have it but you wont. gamertag:gun child space included
No dothalo is not a mao resigner it is a map editor and ppf patch applicator. A mao resigner is a progarm that fixes the maps encryption. When ever u take a map off of the HD the encryption changes for security purposes so u aren't allowed to edit it and put it back on. But that where a map resigner comes in....they fix the encryption so u can get around that. The proram itself is very easy to work. IM me if u need a map resigner my SN is akspud93.
well, if i have a map opened in dothalo, how do i use the program to change anything. i mean i get this hugeass bunch of letters and numbers in the Hex Editor window. Help!
Look I can't just tell ypou hoe to do it for a number iof reasons is one I barley knwo how to use it. two it is very complicated and I will not be abel to explain it easily. And three there are bound to be some tutorials out there for using dothalo so look around.
you guys are nubs...and dont use dothalo its for nubs....go to www.a4h.us then downloads, then others and look at all those modding programs...they let you make spawn mods
www.a4h.us is the worst website ever they just recently changed to html format cos they couldn't afford it before but they also got hacked on their php websites by omega halo including the downloads section,they're noobs.
