okay, idk if this is in the right place but oh well, so, i installed SID 4 through mech assault. then i moved my xbox to a different tv and it kept coming up with the "set time" screen everytime i turned it on and it never went to the unleash screen so i selected the run linux profile on MA again and then tried to reinstall, so i backed up eeprom and then tried to backup ms but it said that there already was one(because i had created it before) so i choose delete ms backup, i tried to make a new ms backup but it told me that ther already was a softmod installed so i went to uninstall softmod but it said i needed ms backup... help me out, what do i do?

The repeating set time is the clock loop. When you powered down the console it lost the clock settings. Okay if you google "XBOX clock loop" you'll get hits on what to do. If you have your eeprom file backed up on your computer in a safe place then the easiest thing for you to do is remove your HDD and follow the FAQ for a HDD replacement, except you'll be rebuilding your M$ dash There are a list of FAQs here that will help:

If you don't have access to your backed up eeprom file then you have more fun in your future. Search Clock Loop here, I think you can hotswap and fix it that way. Actually I read that if you had just let it play out until you got to a point where you can re do the time it would be alright, now that you have messed around with it I'm not so sure.

Read this and see if it will help you:

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
