ok hello and greetings here is my problem

i have a brand new mac mini fully lloaded with 1 gigs worth of memory 2.66 gigs and a 200 gig hard drive

anyways here is what happens i go into halo and try to run halo for mac i get through all of the videos which jerk and have major playback issues and worse when i get into the game the game has really bad grphics issues like master cheifs facemask isn't gold its black and other nasty problems now whats weird is i meet all of the system requirements including ram and hard drive space and my graphics card is 512 megs so what in the heck can i do i have everything i need but im still looking for a way to get it running better

is there a halo site that deals with this issue and if so where is it at and if not is there a way to modifie the config file to run it correctly

    again, punctuation helps.

i'm having some issues with the specs of your mac mini.
if it is an intel machine, it has only a 1.66ghz, i'm guessing you had the hd upgraded. unless that's an external. 1GB of ram should be more than enough for that. that machine does max out at 2gb. i know there have been processor swaps that people have done and have worked. i DONT recommend it. i wouldnt do it myself. unless you know somebody that knows what they are doing and will respond if in ANY case the machine is made into a brick. your graphics card is nowhere near of what the stock is. and apple does not offer any BTO (Build To Order) options for that. i'm on the apple site now. so that may be either a mistake in your post. or again, some strange mod or upgrade.

the apple site does have Halo: Combat Evolved on their site. they do recommend that machine. the 1.66ghz intel mac mini. so technically it should work fine. now, i could not find if this was yet a universal binary. i also could not find a patch / upgrade of any sort for it.

not only that, are you running this game with any other software running in the background? that may also be an issue. if i'm reading this correctly, your major complain / issue with this is that the intro videos are jerky when they start up? bad graphics issues? such as just a different color mask? that may be because of the universal binary. it not being up to date. you may want to contact the manafacturer directly on that and see if there is anything you can download or they can send you to get this fixed. just give them your serial number and they should be able to look you up. as long as you registered.

i know they reply is long, but i try to cover all the bases. if i missed anything, let me know.

I dont know why you have all those prblems with halo mac,but i have it and it runs perfectly on my intel mac book, just a little slow, but i´m thinking on upgrading for more ram.

HALO MAC IS A GOOD GAME.

    maybe your disc is corrupt.

try downloading it from bittorrent, and check if it works

    Ok, bit confused.

Question was if Halo for MAC was online. Response was that it needs to be under bootcamp. If it needs to be run under bootcamp, wouldn't that make it a Halo for PC? Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't bootcamp enable you to run Windows XP on your MAC?

Granted the machine itself may be a MAC, but XP is PC.
Does anybody else see this? Or am I just crazy?

True I think the boy is confused lol, it's HALO for Mac no need to launch from BootCamp brotha...that would be HALO for PC.
