I need to make a number tracking program

I have a business and I deal with all kinds of numbers on tools and devices that I rent out. I need a program where I can track the serial numbers as the are delivered and transported. Something like ups or fedex tracking. I'm going to run it off my company website so it can be accessed by anyone in the network. My question is, how can I get this kind of program or how can I make my own ?? I tried to contact some of these companies, but no luck. Even where's george.com said nothing.. so what to do now?? someone get back to me.. thanx

 

Possibly with mobile phones:
Barcode scanning
Add barcode to network
Scan onto van
track via where mobile phone is
scan off
update network with signature + delivered

Would be expensive data transfers on mobile though!

 

I WANT IT TO BE MORE DATA ENTRY ON THE PERSON WHO HAS THE ITEM. ONCE THEY RECIVE IT, THEY INPUT THE NUMBER ON A WEB SITE AND IT'S TRACKED THAT WAY..

 

Im sure you would hav a few people not input the information though and pocket the goods
