I need to have two sound card working at the same time. I bought a pci sound card for my vista machine and when the PC re boots it only recognise's the PCI card and not the motherboards sound. Is there a solution for this

not possible. only one will work at a time. if you're trying to connect multiple speakers, then use a y-splitter.

What about 2 PCI or PCI + PCI-E for selectable in audio control pannel?

I was wanting to do this w/ my exiting X-Fi PCI-E and add older PCI M-Audio for 8track direct in but later playback to X-Fi out for use of on board DTX after mixed and encoded.
