    Hello,

I am having problems with my DVD burner, I can't burn using any software and when I try to use ImgBurn I get the following error when I turn my external drive on:

    I/O Error!

    Device [0:0:0] (G:) (USB)

    ScsiStatus: 0x02
    Interpretation: Check Condition

    CDB: 12 00 00 00 60 00
    Interpretation: Inquiry

    Sense Area: 70 00 00 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
    Interpretation: No Additional Sense Information

Here is the log for this:
    I 15:16:17 ImgBurn Version 2.4.2.0 started!
    I 15:16:17 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3)
    I 15:16:17 Total Physical Memory: 1,047,536 KB - Available: 408,320 KB
    I 15:16:17 Initialising SPTI...
I 15:16:17 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...
    I 15:16:17 Found 1 DVD-ROM and 1 DVD-ROM/CD-RW!
    W 15:16:26 Device Arrival Detected!
I 15:16:26 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...
    I 15:16:30 Found 1 DVD-ROM and 1 DVD-ROM/CD-RW!
    W 15:16:40 Device Arrival Detected!

If I turn off the drive and then turn it back on, ImgBurn will then recognise it without any error but when I try and burn an image ImgBurn freezes on Setting Write Parameters, and I have to kill it to stop it. Below is the log, but I cant see anything wrong with it...

I am using Verbs, and I was using discs form the same spindle absolutely fine until the other day when none of them seem to work, I thought it was a hardware issue so I bought a new drive (the one the logs are for) but I am getting the same problem. Please can someone help me as this is really annoying me now!.. And I have bought a new drive when I probably didnt need to!

    Thanks in advance
    Mike

i dont know if this is too obvious and you have already tried..

but i had same error.. with 1 iso image from an external hardrive
i was using that had 3 others on that worked fine..

i couldnt copy off the drive to desktop then burn as i had others..

ended up that i deleted it off, recopied or dumped to external drive and it worked.

like a say may sound to obvious and you may have tried but i thort id say anyways.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the problem is definatly somewhere between the drives and the computer, as the drive wont even register when I put an original DVD/CD in it.

    Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion, is there an easy way of knowing what registry entries/drivers to delete? Only the only way I know of doing this without ruining anything is to do a backup and then re-format?

    Cheers
