Hello, I am having problems with my DVD burner, I can't burn using any software and when I try to use ImgBurn I get the following error when I turn my external drive on: I/O Error! If I turn off the drive and then turn it back on, ImgBurn will then recognise it without any error but when I try and burn an image ImgBurn freezes on Setting Write Parameters, and I have to kill it to stop it. Please can someone help me as this is really annoying me now!.. And I have bought a new drive when I probably didnt need to! Thanks in advance Mike
i dont know if this is too obvious and you have already tried.. but i had same error.. with 1 iso image from an external hardrive i was using that had 3 others on that worked fine.. i couldnt copy off the drive to desktop then burn as i had others.. ended up that i deleted it off, recopied or dumped to external drive and it worked. like a say may sound to obvious and you may have tried but i thort id say anyways.
Thanks for the suggestion, but the problem is definatly somewhere between the drives and the computer, as the drive wont even register when I put an original DVD/CD in it. Cheers
Thanks for the suggestion, is there an easy way of knowing what registry entries/drivers to delete? Only the only way I know of doing this without ruining anything is to do a backup and then re-format? Cheers Mike
