Grrr this DVD Burner which I bought at Circuit City was good but now its acting up. Please for the Love of God help. What happens is I'll watch a DVD Movie using this burner and 10 minutes into the movie, it will FREEZE and I have to control+alt+Delete to close powerdvd. Than I goto My Computer and the Drive disappears and I refresh in Hardware settings and nothing shows up. I have to wait 10 minutse than Refresh in Device Manager for it to show up in my computer again. It comes with Nero and when I pop in a blank cd the drive changes right before my eyes. It goes from DVD/RW 16x to CD Drive when I pop in a blank cd? Whats up with that? I can't update anything driver/firmware cause the io/magic site says nothing available. Am I Missing something? Please help vspede
Try removing and then re-installing PowerDVD, but better yet if you have Nero and you also have ShowTime, then just uninstall PowerDVD and use Nero ShowTime.
