I/O magic burners

    I have found a really good sale at circuit city and have purchased an external dvd-+r-+rw drive forr 99 dollars marked down from 179 what is i/o magic's reputation for burners is it decent or troublesome? I'm just wondering what i/o magic's reputation is

    there lower higher grade if ya know what i mean... not quite a plextor or nec, but not a cheapo either

    What about BTC or Empex
    These Internal 8X burners are getting pretty cheap and don't have rebate hassle.

    you see the thing is if its not a anme brand then its not going to be that good of quality. Get a good name brand one and youll have no problems.

    Hi sony4life
    I/O Magic does not manufacturer DVD burners. I have an I/O Magic 4X burner that is an Optorite DD00203. According to the I/O Magic forums, the 4X burner could also be a BTC model. The burner was alright but media picky. I have since replaced the unit with a BenQ DW800A. It cost me $70.00 Canadian and burns my 4X medai at 8X.
