I/O MAGIC DVD BURNER GOOD????????

    [bold]hey, does anyone have this burner? if so, are they any good? staple is sellin an 8x dvd-+r for $90 and i dont wanna miss out on this deal.

    I have it. I have went through a spindle of dvd-rs, and I once I got it figured out, I didnt have a problem in the world with it.

    Only from what I've read about I/O Magic: I hear they "rebadge" other makers burners, meaning they buy say from Plextor (if you're really lucky) then slap their company name on it. I've heard only good things about them. Staples has a pretty decent return policy-think it's 2 weeks for a pc peripheral, so I say go for it. Hey, my 'bro in law got an NEC DVD off of ebay for $39, and it actually works! I say go for it.

    I have had mixed luck with these drive, I had four bad one and one very fast working one. All have been the Optorite version of this drive.
