possibility of humidity when made. put 1 in freezer overnight, take it out in morning, let warm up for a couple of hrs than try & see what happens

I have had mine for 3 weeks and have not had any problems. I am ripping and burning 3-10 movies a day every day. I burn at 8x and have not had a quality problem yet. Using Xcopy, Shrink, and decrypter. I hope your situation is uncommon and will update if mine craps out.

Actually I have had one problem though. Ocassionally after burning a dvd the drive will not recognize another dvd inserted and I have to reboot. Anyone else have this happen?

I figured out the solution. After burning and closing any burning program I have to reinsert the dvd. It has recognized the next dvd everytime now.
