i Own a verizon E815.. have a question for the E816's.. Thanks in advance

i own an e815.. i was hoping to hack it... i was so happy my OEM motorola usb came in. and find out that either the brand new usb is messed up or the motherboard on my phone is.. it reads on the computer when i try to connect it..." one of the following devices attached to this comp. has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it..
-usb root hun[2ports]
-unused port
-unknown usb device..
thats what it says....... i really like my grey e815.. but if the usb slot on the phone is messed up and theres absolutley no way to fix it without spending anymore money.. then im going to sell it and get an E816... question about the E816 is if it's as hackable as the E815??.. themes, skins, p2k, seems, all that stuff. Anyone with experience in this topic.. please spread a word or two. Thanks in advance.
