My I pod nano got stuck while playing a song. Battery died while in this stage. Since then nothing is working. I have tried to reset it but no switches work. Also tried to connect to my pc but it does not connect. Tried different usb ports as well. But no such luck. Can someone help me here.

put it into disk mode (you will have to skip the reset), but just press & hold the middle & play buttons for six seconds. Once in disk mode, it will mount on your PC and subsequently, you can restore it with the apple updater..

    Thanks Lethal B,

Have tried this but its not working. What do mean by disk mode.

Looks like my Nano needs to go for repair. Irony is that this the second time I am using it to play songs. Have been using MPIO for a year now. Never has it giving any problem what so ever.

    Cheers,

    Muzzy

Disk mode will force your iPod nano to mount on your PC so subsequently, you can reset it ;-)

Well, to put it into disk mode, you have to reset it, and while the apple logo is up, press & hold the menu & play buttons together for 6 seconds. But seeing as you can't reset it, you sould still try pressing & holding the menu & play buttons - you haven't anything to lose..
