The MOBO is a 478 I put a Pentium 4 processor with 800 FSB nothing works now, I put the old one back in but still nothing. I also installed 1gb ram but I know its compatible, 2100. I can't get it to do anything want even boot up. I would hate send all this stuff back to NewEgg but I don't have anything to work with. Help!!!!!!!!!

PS. I thought the motherboard would just hold the proccesor to 533.

try clearing the cmos on the mobo by pulling the battery on it for a few minutes then putting it back in.

i don't *think* it's messed up, but i don't know. to find your battery, google for your mobo model number and find a diagram of it. it should be in your manual, but you don't state if you have it or not.

800fsb on a 533mobo thats not a clever idea since the proc is gonna run at lower speeds and the ram too and might even damage it
